Halbec is dedicated to providing a range of ceremonies we celebrate to mark the important events in life, with sensitivity to the personal needs and preferences of those we serve.  Weddings, funerals, baptisms, rededications, memorial services and similar rituals are the outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual events in our lives, whether we are deeply and traditionally religious, follow non-traditional or no formal spiritual path.  Regardless of your personal belief system, the rituals we observe have existed through generations to recognize a significant life event in life which deserves to be celebrated and remembered by us and those we hold dear.  We gather not just to celebrate, but to continue traditions which have been part of our families, communities and ancestors from time in memorial.  Regardless of belief, the ceremonies we celebrate are a very good thing!

Whether you seek a small gathering of family and friends, or a larger, formal celebration, we can help you create a service that meets your personal needs without regard to location, circumstance, belief system and at a range of financial points.  It is possible to have a meaningful and memorable ceremony with little cost or preparation.  Halbec’s only expectation is that you work collaboratively with us in the planning process, cooperate with scheduling and that the ceremony you want respects the appropriate dignity of the service planned.  If you aren’t sure about the latter, feel free to ask.  For example, a joyful and funny wedding may be very appropriate, whereas it is less likely appropriate for a baptism or funeral.

For the sake of simplicity, let’s focus on weddings.  For other ceremonies, let’s talk together about what you would like and how to make it fit your individual needs.  Weddings can be very simple, and we have a large variety of simple to highly customizable ceremonies.  You can also find many examples on the internet and on YouTube.  A typical ceremony, without formal religious activities such as a typical Sunday service, runs between 20 to 25 minutes.  At the other end, ceremonies can be created as a unique and custom designed event as sophisticated as a Shakespearian play.  I have included some very simple ceremonies on this site as examples of more simple and dignified ways of starting your new life together.  Whether you choose a time-honored ceremony, or design one of your own, the sharing of the event with those you love is the focus of why we gather together and create lasting memories.

I have included a simple contact form to begin the wedding process, including a cost structure.  There are a few additional items to the costs that are required of us both and which we will agree upon automatically.  For example, you are required to obtain the marriage license and are responsible for any costs related to it.  I am responsible for signing it and delivering it to the place where you obtained it for registration.
